JOB PURPOSE
The Construction Operational Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the Capital Projects team in the planning, coordination, and execution of multifamily and commercial real estate construction initiatives. This position ensures operational efficiency across all phases of development, from pre-construction through closeout, by managing project documentation, tracking schedules and budgets, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and facilitating internal communication. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of navigating the fast-paced demands of ground-up and renovation projects in active real estate environments. This role is instrumental in helping leadership deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards across a diverse portfolio of assets.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with overall project management, including scope, schedule, and budget tracking
- Prepare, review, and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Participate in weekly project meetings and generate meeting minutes
- Support field teams with material deliveries, site logistics, and document management
- Assist with project closeout, including punch lists, as-builts, and warranty tracking
- Use project management software like Procore, Bluebeam, or Buildertrend
Qualifications of Successful Candidates:
- 2+ years in a construction support role (preferably in multifamily or commercial projects)
- Proficiency with project management tools (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Excel)
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with AIA contract documents and pay applications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Work Environment:
- This position is based in the company’s headquarters, downtown Dallas with some flexibility for hybrid work. In office Monday – Thursday. Remote: Friday.
